Shaped in the past due ’80s, 700 Kilometers had a successful career for quite some time because of the songwriting skills of frontman John Carlin. But after recognizing that his music group was heading nowhere because of record-company politics as well as the changing musical environment, he disbanded the group and started to perform solo acoustic displays. He was facing a difficult scenario in his personal existence, which fueled his tracks a good deal. He setup shop inside a painter’s studio room in Maine and started to record his fresh material, eventually resulting in the discharge of his single debut, 2001’s Tracks From the Dark House.
