Johann Samuel Endler

This composer discovered music in Leipzig and probably studied with Graupner. His instructor suggested him for a posture in Darmstat which he recognized; afterwards Endler was to be the Kappellmeister at Darmstadt following the loss of life of his instructor. Endler constructed sinfonias (even more correctly suites) for blowing wind instruments — the principal instruments from the Darmstadt orchestra — cantatas, riddle canons and overtures.
