Jimmy Burns

Younger brother of bluesman Eddie Uses up, singer/guitarist Jimmy Uses up followed in the family tradition, learning to be a staple of Chicago’s West Aspect club circuit after an extended absence in the spotlight. Born Feb 27, 1943 in Dublin, Mississippi, he trim a small number of singles early in his profession, but upon marrying and beginning a family group, he largely used the brakes to his musical dreams to spotlight domestic life. Burns up performed only hardly ever in the years to follow; nevertheless, with his kids all cultivated in the first 1990s, he rekindled his profession, following up a difficult day of working his barbecue the stand by position trimming loose with a couple of soulful blues in the Smokedaddy, his regular location. In 1996, at age 53, Burns up finally released his long-awaited full-length debut, Departing Here Walking.
