Jackson Scott

Pittsburgh indigenous Jackson Scott moved to Asheville, NEW YORK to visit university, then promptly dropped away and strung jointly some low-paying careers, including a single where he was fired for ditching function to find out Ty Segall play. While all of this was taking place, Scott was also hanging out in his bedroom documenting unusual psychedelic jams that sounded similarly motivated by Syd Barrett and Weezer, and generally featured Scott’s tone of voice pitched up to just underneath Chipmunk level. He began putting them through to Soundcloud as well as the music soon captured the hearing of the people at Fats Possum. They agreed upon the 20-year-old internal spaceman to an archive offer and his initial album, Melbourne, made up of recordings produced between Sept 2012 and January 2013, premiered in the summertime of 2013. After spending significant amounts of period touring over another year-plus, Scott came back home and started focus on his following album. The effect was 2015’s Sunlight Redux, that was released by fresh label Bloodmoss Information.
