Ingar Zach

Ingar Zach is component of a contingent of Norwegian avant-garde jazz music artists who organized themselves a picture in the mid- to past due-’90s. The trio toured america in November 2000 and performed in the Molde International Jazz Event with English bassist Barry Man as their visitor, a concert recorded on 2002’s 2 of 2. Right before he crossed the Atlantic, Zach performed several concerts in duet with improv tale Derek Bailey. Back he co-founded Couch, an imprint from the jazz/globe label NorCD, as well as Ivar Grydeland and Karl Seglem. Since early 2001, the label offers released several albums offering Zach, including duets with Grydeland and Bailey, the quartet Wazahugy (with Grydeland, Charlotte Hug and Philipp Wachsmann), and two CDs by No Spaghetti Release, a big pan-European free of charge improv ensemble.
