Howard Huntsberry

Howard Huntsberry scored just a few moments as a single singer, but he did submit some exceptional performances as the business lead vocalist of Klique, an ’80s trio that also included his sister Deborah Hunter and Isaac Suthers. Their finest amount was a cover of Jackie Wilson’s “End Doggin’ Me Around” in 1983. Huntsberry’s rendition was therefore much like Wilson’s that he was tapped to try out the soul superstar in 1987’s La Bamba. Klique documented for MCA from 1981 to 1985, obtaining one other Best 20 strike with “A FEMALE, A Lover, A PAL” in 1985.
