Hepcat

Hepcat was being among the most celebrated rings to emerge from the Southern California ska revival picture from the 1990s, being successful fans making use of their infectious Caribbean melodies, soulful harmonies and swinging rhythms, all informed by components of reggae, rock and roll regular, R&B and jazz. Composed of vocalists Greg Lee and Alex Desert, keyboardist Deston Berry, guitarist Aaron Owens, bassist Dave Fuentes, saxophonists Efren Santana and Raul Talavera, trumpeter Kincaid Smith and drummer Scott Abels, Hepcat was produced in 1989; phrase quickly spread, and in 1993 they released their debut LP, Away from Nowhere. After 1996’s Scientific, they agreed upon to Epitaph, touring being a highlighted artist on the next year’s Warped Tour before launching their third LP, Directly on Period, in 1998 and Force N’ Shove implemented in summer months 2000.
