Haydock’s Rockhouse

In 1966, bassist Eric Haydock was fired in the Hollies, with whom he previously played since 1962. He come up with a short-lived music group of his very own, Haydock’s Rockhouse, who specific in even more of an R&B audio compared to the Hollies have been generating lately. Peter Ainsworth taken care of the vocals, with Ian Brooks on trumpet, Barry Worthington on sax, Tony Danforth on the body organ and performing, Haydock on bass, and Hector Smith on drums. These were agreed upon to EMI’s Columbia label and produced their debut using a cover from the Sam Cooke melody “Cupid,” which didn’t graph. In 1967, they released one more one, “Lovin’ You,” which also vanished without a track. The group split up immediately after, and “Cupid” afterwards surfaced on the past due LP compilation of United kingdom R&B covers.
