Goddess of Desire

The Netherlands’ Goddess of Desire blend ‘80’s styled thrash and power metal with over-the-top theatrics (fireworks, Manowar-meets-Gwar costumes and scantily-clad young maidens) into what they call ‘Ancient Metallic.’ No, not really kidding. Thankfully, music group members Count number August (vocals/bass), Grev Drake (acoustic guitar) and Emperor Tag (drums) usually have the ability to support these shenanigans with extremely proficient musicianship and extremely potent songwriting. Making use of their unique dancers, Lilith and Delilah ever in tow, the trio released 1997’s WHY DON’T WE Win this Battle and 1998’s Sign of Triumph promptly, after that welcomed second guitarist Lord Arydon and fresh drummer Der Knuppelmeister before resuming their search for globe domination (or something similar to it) via 2002’s Conquerors Devine.
