Whittier, California’s Funeral Party mixes dance-punk’s surging energy with emo’s anthemic charge. Called after a melody by the Treat, the music group features vocalist Chad Elliot, guitarist Adam Torres, and bassist Kimo Kauhola; the trio produced the music group to flee their hometown. Motivated with the dance-punk revival in East L.A., Funeral Party performed around the region, or attempted to play, because so many of the displays they booked had been shut down just before they could perform. They documented demos at Mars Volta’s studio room and supported rings like the Faint and Crystal Castles if they came to city. Among their demos produced its way towards the French music group Yelle, with whom Funeral Party toured the U.S. Slot machines supporting … AND YOU’LL Know Us from the Path of Deceased, Franz Ferdinand, and Julian Casablancas had been followed by documenting their full-length recording, Golden Age group of Knowhere, that was released in early 2011.
