While Orange County, CA, became a thriving middle from the hardcore picture in the first ’80s, Oxnard churned out plenty of rings to earn its genre: nardcore. Dr. Understand vocalist Brandon Cruz coined the term that the easy, loud, uncooked, anthemic, and admittedly un-inventive punk noises of rings like Agression and Stalag 13. Cruz, a previous child acting professional, and his bandmates offered devotees such favorites as “God EXPLAINED To,” “Burn off,” and “Plug in Jesus” before delving into metallic as the ’80s used on. The music group re-formed in the past due ’90s, with two unique people, Cruz and bassist Ismael Hernandez, guitarist Craig Mendez, and drummer Eric Vasquez. A break up record with Fang as well as the Hellions on Hello Information provided the band’s 1st new materials in over ten years.
