With paths like “Pop That,” “I COULD Be considered a Freak,” and “Drunken Karaoke” in his catalog, rapper and maker DJ Chose certainly falls beneath the group of “Houston party rappers,” but you can find more than enough odd and interesting influences in his music that he sometimes measures beyond your genre. Created in Houston but partly elevated in Youngstown, Ohio, Chose got his big break in his hometown back 2009 when Swishahouse DJ O.G. Ron C. added him to his steady of Chopstar DJs.
