Disciple

Christian hard rock outfit Disciple was shaped in 1992 by friends Kevin Little, Brad Noah, Tim Barrett, and Adrian DiTommasi (who leave the group shorty after inception) so that they can spread the Gospel while playing the noisy, metallic music they cherished. Over time, their style advanced into one much like many secular substitute metal groups, because they toured churches, high institutions, colleges, and equivalent locations. Their self-released debut, THAT WHICH WAS I Thinking, arrived in 1995, accompanied by an EP, My Daddy Can Whip Your Daddy, on Warner Resound in 1997. Their sophomore full-length work, THIS MAY Sting a bit, followed 2 yrs later on Tough Information. By God implemented in 2001 on a single label. 2003’s AGAIN found the music group on a fresh label, their very own indie Slain Information. That season, the trio became a quartet by adding bassist Joey Fife with their lineup. The group agreed upon with INO Information the following season and released a self-titled LP in June of 2005. Marks Remain appeared on Integrity in past due 2006. After many years of nominations, the record won the music group their initial Dove Prize for Rock and roll Album of the entire year. In 2008, Noah and Fife stepped down in the music group and their places were packed by bassist Israel Beachy and guitarists Andrew Welch and Micah Sannan. Southern Hospitality showed up later that 12 months. Before their following launch, founding drummer Tim Barrett would also component methods with Disciple, changed by Trent Reiff. Horseshoes & Hands Grenades, Disciple’s 8th LP, in Apr 2010. It topped the Christian graph and came into the Billboard Best 50. By early 2013, Reiff exited and was changed by Joey Western. Andrew Stanton also became a member of the band, departing Young because the just initial member. The refreshed quintet forged forward using the crowd-funded discharge of 2014’s Strike, that was their highest Billboard 200 entrance up to now, peaking at amount 44. Made by longtime Disciple manufacturer Travis Wyrick, Strike also increased to the quantity two spots in the Hard Rock and roll and Christian graphs. It might be the very first and last record with Wilkes on bass, who still left the band another season. Vultures, a six-song EP documented during the Strike sessions, premiered by the end of 2015. Another EP, Reside in Denmark, appeared the following season, along with a group of concert movies from Denmark’s RiverFest. The music group — today a quartet — released another crowd-funded work in 2016. Their eleventh record, Longer Live the Rebels debuted at amount 125, rendering it the band’s 6th Billboard 200 entrance to date.
