Dave Pietro

Alto saxophonist and composer Dave Pietro was created and raised in Southboro, MA, where he began performing jazz at age group 11. While students at the College or university of New Hampshire, he documented using the school’s jazz music group beneath the auspices of flugelhornist Clark Terry before moving to North Tx State College or university in 1984, touring and documenting with the main one O’Clock Lab Music group furthermore to collaborating using the Dallas Jazz Orchestra as well as the Collection Jazz Orchestra. Upon graduating in 1987, Pietro resolved in NEW YORK, consequently touring behind Woody Herman, Lionel Hampton, and Maynard Ferguson; from 1994 on, he also offered as the business lead alto for the Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra. In 1996 — exactly the same yr he was honored as receiver of a give from the Country wide Endowment for the Arts — Pietro released his headlining debut, Neglected Dreams.
