Dave Dallwitz

b. David Frederick Dallwitz, 25 Oct 1914, Freeling, Australia, d. 24 March 2003, Adelaide, Australia. In 1946, the jazz composer and pianist Dallwitz led a dixieland jazz music group known as the Southern Jazz Group until they disbanded within the mid-50s. Then turned to composing and performing traditional music. Dallwitz came back to jazz in 1972 and led a number of rings including a scholarly ragtime ensemble, which performed the traditional rags in addition to his very own compositions for the reason that design. He more regularly wrote within a mainstream design which shown his classical history. Among the music artists with whom he caused are vibraphonist John Sangster. Dallwitz was also a painter and artwork teacher.
