Cuushe

Originally from Kyoto, Japan, Cuushe (Mayuko Hitotsuyanagi) recorded her debut album Red Rocket Telepathy while surviving in Europe. The album’s dreamy, downtempo digital pop was an all natural in shape for Japanese label flau, as well as the label released the recording in ’09 2009. Cuushe collaborated with maker aus (flau creator Yasuhiko Fukuzono) on ambitious triple-EP launch Girl YOU UNDERSTAND WHICH I Am Right here But the Desire, which surfaced on flau in 2012 and presented remixes by Julia Holter, Movement Sickness of your time Travel, Blackbird Blackbird, and many more. Sophomore full-length Butterfly Case, co-produced by aus, surfaced in 2013, and experienced a very much brighter, even more uptempo audio than Cuushe’s debut. Located in Japan once more, she toured with Grouper and Julianna Barwick throughout their appointments to the united states. Cuushe provided visitor vocals for a number of artists like the Vessels, Populous, and Kidkanevil. 2015 EP Night time Lines, again made by aus, was Cuushe’s poppiest launch however, and was co-released by flau and American label Cascine.
