Cut Off Your Hands

Auckland, New Zealand-based TAKE OFF Your Hands help to make catchy and melodic post-punk-influenced indie rock and roll. In early stages, the band transformed its name from Shaky Hands in order to avoid misunderstandings having a Portland, OR, ensemble from the same name. TAKE OFF THE HANDS released their debut EP, Shaky Hands, in 2006 and a follow-up EP, Blue on Blue, in 2007. In 2008, TAKE OFF THE HANDS released their debut full-length recording, You and I, on Common. The album premiered in the U.S. via Frenchkiss Information in early 2009. For 2011’s Hollow, the music group introduced fresh guitarist/vocalist Jonathan Lee, and a smoother, shimmering audio.
