Charles Wilson

Charles Wilson grew up in Chicago, and started performing early; as an adolescent he sang in Chicago region nightclubs but was as well young to truly have a beverage. Despite having R&B/blues vocalist Small Milton (“We’re Gonna ENSURE IT IS”) for an uncle, his “big break” didn’t arrive until he got the chance to be on the street with Bobby Hurry. He later opened up for Z.Z. Hill, Otis Clay, Tyrone Davis, and Bobby “Blue” Bland. Wilson waxed his initial one in 1964, but “Attempting to produce a Incorrect Thing Best,” didn’t perform very much; his next work, “You TAKE OFF My Appreciate Supply,” wasn’t a smash either, nonetheless it set up Wilson being a blues participant of take note. He drifted into Southern spirit when he cut his initial record, Blues in the main element of C, on Ichiban Information in Atlanta, GA, which elevated his bookings within the South, the Midwest, and abroad. He began documenting for Ecko Information, and cut four restricted blues series: It’s Special in the Backstreet in 1995, Loveseat in 1998, It Ain’t the scale in 1999, and Mr. Freak in 2000. Wilson also released Why? in 1997 for the Grip label and Music in the Vault in 2001 by himself Wilson imprint. Still searching for that more and more improbable monster crossover, Wilson has generated a firm base, and has shown remarkable stamina considering he’s been executing in public areas since he was seven.
