A local music group from Quebec, Canada, Centrifugal Force includes a band of talented and apparently bookish music artists who bathe their thick compositions in poetic posturing and symphonic trappings. Offering one-time Guys Without Hats member Colin Doroschuk, this group uses traditional brass instruments, intensifying synthesizers, and designed sequences to attain a layered audio that’s alternately highbrow and funky. Matter is certainly their 1998 debut, released in the indie Canadian label U.F.O.R.We.A.
