Burst

Though Sweden’s Burst originally formed as soon as 1993 and released several underground releases within the next couple of years (1996’s Shadowcaster EP, 1998’s Two Faced LP), it wasn’t until 1999 that vocalist Linus Jägerskog, guitarists Jonas Rydberg and Robert Reinholdz, bassist Jesper Liver organöd (ex-Nasum), and drummer Patrik Hultin perfected the explorative, metallic musical direction these were to be known for. Initial released on 2001’s Conquest: Writhe recording, this involved nourishing the group’s uncompromisingly severe death metallic and hardcore affects through a digital kaleidoscope of varied sonic textures and emotively ambient options (discover precursors Neurosis for research). An EP entitled In Coveting Methods moved this objective statement ahead a year later on, and, after putting your signature on with Relapse Information, Burst unleashed their second full-length opus, Victimize Existence, in 2003. This is accompanied by the critically acclaimed Origo in early 2006.
