Beth McKee

Beth McKee is a singer and songwriter who comes from Jackson, Mississippi, but was raised all around the American South. She takes on piano, body organ, and accordion aswell. Her music can be deeply affected by and steeped in the region’s wealthy musical history from blues and R&B to Cajun, rock and roll & move, zydeco, and spirit. Her debut recording, I’m That Method, was released this year 2010. It showcased her capabilities as a vocalist and instrumentalist. Comprised completely of music by Louisiana star Bobby Charles, the self-released record was written by the veteran unbiased Burnside Information. McKee shown an unusual affinity for the materials, perhaps because of her big, open-hearted, unquestionably honest tone of voice, and won viewers over while touring. By changes, her sophomore work, Following to Nowhere, was a totally self-penned collection. Inspired by her hubby, drummer Juan Perez, McKee enlisted several relatives and buddies as support players (including guitarist Tommy Malone from the Subdudes) and released the established herself in early 2012. It garnered reviews that are positive nationally, and received significant radio enjoy on AAA and satellite television radio.
