Awry

Produced by opera student Shara Worden (b. Michigan, USA), this New York-based indie music group released two understated albums in the first 00s. Worden acquired come to NEW YORK after learning opera on the School of North Tx, and produced Awry (frequently written AwRY) as a means of expressing her like of rock and roll music. Guitarist Shane Yarbrough became a member of her in the task’s self-titled 2001 debut record, a roughly documented but melodic assortment of music that was occasionally similar to mid-period PJ Harvey. The record’s periodic departure into art-rock place was completely realised in the follow-up Calm B Sides, a far more seductive album documented quickly in three times and released by the end of the entire year. Worden place her recording profession on short-term hiatus to utilize Sufjan Stevens on his SERIOUSLY Experience The Illinoise task. She came back to documenting in 2006 beneath the My Brightest Gemstone moniker.
