Avalon

The CCM vocal quartet Avalon includes Jody McBrayer, Nikki Hassman, Janna Potter and Michael Passons. After debuting using a self-titled record in 1996, the group toured with Michael W. Smith, Twila Paris and Steven Curtis Chapman. The singles “CEASE,” “This Like” and “Picture Ideal Globe”? all do well for the inspirational/adult modern graphs, sparking the group’s second record, 1997’s A Maze of Sophistication. Hassman still left the group and was changed by Cherie Paliotta before Avalon came back to the studio room to record the 1999 record Within a Different Light. A combined mix of traditional and brand-new holiday tracks, Avalon’s Christmas recording Joy followed twelve months later on. In 2002, Cherie Paliotta was changed by Melissa Greene for the documenting of new tunes for his or her 2003 ABSOLUTE BEST of Avalon launch.
