Arnaldo Cohen

The former violinist from the Rio Opera Home Orchestra, Arnoldo Cohen has increasingly concentrated over the piano. Furthermore to executing with such symphonic groupings as the Royal Philharmonic, the Philharmonia, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre De La Suisse Romande, Santa Cecilia Orchestra of Rome, Vancouver Symphony and Calgary Philharmonic, Cohen provides performed piano in the Amadeus Piano Trio and Lindsay, Chilingirian, Orlando and Vanbrugh Quartets. His single albums consist of an on-going series, Franz Liszt, Comprehensive Piano Music, offering the music from the important Hungarian composer and pianist, and an record, Brasiliana: Three Decades of Brazilian Music, of his interpretations of traditional Brazilian music. Blessed in Brazil, of Russian ancestry, Cohen continues to be playing music because the age group of five. Graduating from the Government School, in Rio De Janeiro, with an honors level in piano and violin playing and anatomist, he continued to review piano with William Kappel disciple, Jacques Klein. He afterwards briefly relocated to Venice to review with Bruno Seidhofer and Dieter Weber. Getting worldwide interest when he decided to replace pianist Martha Angerich for an extremely publicized concert in Amsterdam. Cohen rejected a agreement with Deutsche Grammaphon, choosing instead to keep his research. The many years of schooling culminated along with his earning the Busoni International Competition in 1972. Since producing his USA debut at New York’s Frick Museum, through the 1996-97 period, Cohenhas made THE UNITED STATES a second house. He performed on the Tisch Middle for the Performing Arts in NY in 2001, coming back the following calendar year to execute concerts in Detroit, Sarasota, Vancouver and Calgary.
