American Tears

American Tears was a keyboard-dominated, New York-based hard rock-band from the 1970s. Its innovator was Tag Mangold, and its own preliminary lineup included bassists Gary Sonny and Greg Baze and drummer Tommy Gunn. This release produced American Tears’ debut recording, Branded Bad, accompanied by their “weighty ivory” sophomore work, Tear Gas. Failing woefully to discover an target audience, Mangold reorganized, growing with a fresh lineup offering guitarist Evan Brooks, along with a rhythm portion of Kirk Capabilities and Glenn Kithcart. They produced the third recording Powerhouse, still without well-known response.
