Al Clauser

Henry Alfred Clauser was created in Manitoa, IL, on Feb 23, 1911. A guitarist and songwriter, he statements to have utilized the term Traditional western swing as soon as 1928. Clauser and his string music group had a favorite radio slot machine in the middle-’30s on WHO in Des Moines, IA, where these were regulars until 1942, when Clauser relocated the music group to Tulsa, Okay, and began a normal gig on KTUL. While at KTUL, Clauser added a teenaged vocalist called Clara Ann Fowler (who continued to pop popularity as Patti Web page) to his music group, which was right now becoming billed as the Oklahoma Outlaws. The music group specialized in Traditional western swing, although a big area of the group’s repertoire was just amped-up traditional string music group music, with Clauser’s durable original tunes added in at tactical factors. Al Clauser & His Oklahoma Outlaws made an appearance within an early Gene Autry film, Rootin’ Tootin’ Tempo, and recorded twelve songs for ARC in the 1930s. Clauser disbanded the Oklahoma Outlaws in the 1950s, but continuing to function for KTUL. He passed away on March 3, 1989. The making it through ARC edges, along with many radio transcriptions, had been gathered and released by Krazy Kat Information in 2004 beneath the title Hot Traditional western Swing 1937-48.
