Aaron Mbambo

Guitarist/vocalist Aaron Mbambo attracted critical acclaim for his functionality over the multi-artist anthology Zulu Jive in 1983. Mbambo’s uplifting fusion of tribal rhythms and metropolitan grooves helped to carefully turn the record into what Newspaper known as, “soulful, rollicking, bluesy, cool” and the brand new York Times known as “utterly fresh new and compellingly danceable.” Although he made an appearance on the very similar multi-artist anthology Performing in an Open up Space in 1990, Mbambo provides yet to complement his early achievement.
