F.M. Smith

Since relocating to Chicago from NJ, guitarist and singer/songwriter F.M. Smith offers penned gentle however effective acoustic compositions, combining jazz, folk, and spirit. Affected by such performers as Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, and Michael Hedges, Smith’s lone recording, 1998’s Red Acoustic guitar, displays these aforementioned performers. The recording also included efforts from guitarist Rob Bonaccorsi (a previous person in the Freddy Jones Music group), who also toured with Smith to get the recording. Smith is definitely a two-time receiver of the American Billboard Songwriter’s Competition Award, offers lent his vocal skills to TV advertisements for Air flow Jamaica, and provided musical ratings for the DeBoer/Haller Company’s educational video clips.
