Although he was created in London, singer Ayoola Ogundeyi, Jr. — who goes on the stage name Ayo Jay — grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and his musical expressions route as very much from Western African pop as from Traditional western R&B and rap. Citing heroes like Usher, Akon, and Nigerian designer 2face Idibia, Jay started singing at a age group, though it wasn’t until after he’d went to university in the U.S. that he started to consider music just as one profession. In 2011 he started calling a small number of producers to greatly help provide his songs alive, and within a year or two he’d authorized a cope with One Country Entertainment and started liberating singles. Among his early singles was a shiny, catchy standout known as “Your Amount,” which he afterwards re-recorded with rapper Fetty Wap in 2015. Extra singles like “Gbadun” and “Ibadi Yen” found its way to 2016 as Jay ready his debut record.
