Chispa

A member of family of influential Cuban composer and pianist Ignacio Cervantes, Chispa (or “the Spark”) has led his 13-piece orchestra, Chispa con Los Cómplices, through a mixture of traditional salsa as well as the newer funk-influenced timba design since the later ’90s. Their initial record, Mew Pa’ Que Vea, was released in 2001 and appreciated chart achievement in Cuba. Another release adopted in 2003, Qué le Pasa a Mi Negra.
