Frankie & the Avalons were the initial post-millennium task from Tim Bowen, among the establishing makes from the Philadelphia garage area picture. Using Bowen’s prior knowledge in the genre and adding some irony towards the combine, Frankie & the Avalons became the poppiest task he previously been an integral part of, but using a campy twist. Attracting manufacturer George Manney to try out the drums, Bowen considered two different vocalists to full the lineup. Both Su Teears and New York-based Lynda McLaughlin managed the vocal responsibilities and frequently harmonized to create hypnotic, interesting variants for the melodies within. Their initial single premiered in 2002.
