Verneri Pohjola

Verneri Pohjola has generated a reputation as you of Finland’s leading — and busiest — jazz music artists, but music is within his blood, seeing that he’s the kid of Pekka Pohjola, among the country’s most adventurous bass players who all came old in the prog rock and roll era from the 1970s. Delivered in Helsinki, Pohjola was raised on film soundtracks and rock and roll playing “a small amount of everything” before settling mainly on trumpet within a college orchestra.
