Canadian indie pop clothing Clues was shaped in Montreal in 2007 round the skills of Alden Penner (aka Alden Ginger from the Unicorns) and Brendan Reed (Arcade Fire). Bolstered from the solid songwriting of Penner and a recently minted 2008 lineup that included fellow Montreal music artists Ben Borden, Lisa Gamble, and Nick Scribner, the music group began to consider shape both within the stage and in the studio room, employing a large arsenal of devices that included the original drums, acoustic guitar, and bass, along with horns, innovative percussion, noticed, pianette, and a grab-bag of garage area sale electronics to create their twitchy, innovative make of indie rock and roll. The music group released its debut eponymous recording within the Constellation label in ’09 2009.
