Denise King

Inspired by Nancy Wilson, Marlena Shaw and Sarah Vaughan, Denise Ruler can be an expressive, big-voiced singer who combines jazz with components of R&B, blues and gospel. Ruler was created and elevated in Philadelphia, where she was subjected to R&B as a kid and uncovered jazz at 12 because of an uncle who was simply a devoted record collector. After graduating from senior high school, the Philadelphian moved into the medical field and gained her living being a specialist and a family-planning counselor. Ruler is at her early 30s when she began doing golf club gigs around Philly, and finally, she became a full-time vocalist. Though she’s no stranger to requirements, among King’s strong factors continues to be her capability to offer jazz interpretations of rock and roll and soul strikes — actually, she has switched from Santana’s “Bad Methods” to Ruby & the Romantics’ “Our Day time SHOULD COME” into swinging acoustic jazz. Ruler started documenting in the 1990s, providing RESIDE IN Japan: I RECALL You in 1993, Right now Ain’t That Like in 1996 and Mellow in 1997.
