John Wesley Coleman III

Self-proclaimed “trash poet” John Wesley Coleman III incorporates indie rock slack with witty storytelling in his music. Hailing from Irving, Tx and living very much just like a drifter in East Austin, Coleman began engaging himself in a number of creative actions in the middle-2000s: carrying out with psychedelic five-piece Golden Kids, doing standup humor, painting, composing books and film scripts, and documenting solo materials. Monofonus Press released Coleman’s mixture poetry publication/Compact disc, American Trashcan, in 2008, and adopted it up having a 7” entitled Ghettoblaster, including a cover of George Michael’s “Trust.” His following full-length, Take My Brain, was issued in ’09 2009, before Long lasting Records released Poor Lady Would go to Jail this year 2010 and Daggerman Details dropped Small Miss Keith Richards. Coleman came back in 2012 using the Last Donkey Present, documented in Oakland, California at Greg Ashley’s Creamery studio room, with a friend’s youth house in Lockhardt, Tx, offering even more of his exclusively colorful stories and a hint of maturity. Coleman remixed a few of his very own materials from American Trashcan for the 2012 discharge Problem On Silly Road, and in 2014 he teamed up using the reputed West Coastline indie label Burger Information to place out the record The Like That YOU POSSESS.
