Lumen

Originally getting started like a bedroom collective of several individuals who had the commonality of disliking post-rock, Lumen ultimately branched away in 1997 mainly because Jeffrey Rosenberg, Jeffrey Kane, Andee Connors, and David Blei started playing away within their native of SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. With the launch of their debut EP, Toffee, the quartet captured their quirky crossbreed of metallic ballads, punk, and modern with a split instrumentation that included acoustic guitars, upright bass, organs, and accordion. A couple days after people relocated in both LA and Oakland, Short lived Residency Limited released Lumen’s debut full-length, THE PERSON Thought an Iron Hands, in 2001.
