7 Days of Funk

After his name change to Snoop Lion and his reggae album Reincarnated, rapper Snoop Dogg introduced another alias, Snoopzilla, along with his funk-flavored task seven days of Funk offering producer, musician, and songwriter Dâm-Funk. After conference on the SXSW music celebration in 2011, the duo started planning a task that could combine hip-hop using the funk they treasured in the ‘70s and ‘80s. Using the music of Zapp, George Clinton, Prince, among others as their direct, the group documented seven days of Funk’s self-titled debut and released it within the Stones Toss label in 2013. The recording featured guest looks from Kurupt, Tha Dogg Pound, and funk music experienced Steve Arrington.
