Yuri Popoff

The bassist Yuri Popoff has recorded and toured with artists like Beto Guedes, Toninho Horta, Nana Caymmi, Maria Bethânia, João Donato, Leila Pinheiro, Wagner Tiso, Clara Sandroni, Flávio Venturini, Selma Reis, and Mauro Senise. His initial solo record, Catopê (1993), gained the Sharp award. He provides performed single internationally in Hong Kong and Bangkok. The bassist Tag Egan, from Pat Metheny’s music group, documented Yuri’s tune “Green” as well as the Korean guitarist Jack port Lee, “Vertentes.”
