WATERS

Norway’s WATERS produce active, ’90s grunge and alt-rock-influenced pop music. Devoted to singer/songwriter Truck Pierszalowski, WATERS emerged jointly in Oslo in 2011 after Pierszalowski’s prior band, Interface O’Brien, split up. The group’s debut record, Out in the Light, also made an appearance on TBD Information in 2011. Ultimately, Pierszalowski relocated to SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, where he come up with a fresh WATERS lineup offering guitarist Brian DaMert, keyboardist Sara DaMert, bassist Greg Sellin, and drummer Andrew Wales. Acquiring inspiration through the quiet/loud strategy of such rings as the Pixies and Nirvana, WATERS came back using their follow-up EP, EVERYTHING Might Be Alright, featuring creation from Grouplove’s Ryan Rabin. WATERS’ sophomore full-length recording, What’s Real, premiered in Apr 2015 on Vagrant Information, and got on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums graph. With creation by Tim Pagnotta (Neon Trees and shrubs, Walk the Moon) and with Pierszalowski composing to recommend his teenaged personal, Something More! adopted in 2017.
