Richie Cunningham

Named following the lead figure in Happy Times, the Lanarkshire, U.K.-structured duo of Andrew Willshaw and March Ritchie met up in 1993 to create Richie Cunningham following a drunken evening of watching the American Music Club, leading to their initial demo entitled Vegan Sexbomb. The duo would undoubtedly record two even more tapes of lo-fi, Daniel Johnson-inspired sound pop prior to the end of 1994, including Gavin Hogg Sex God and Bring Me the top of Gavin Hogg. Using a lyrical focus on consuming, Anthony Hopkins, and fanzines, Richie Cunningham ultimately released two more divide EPs; one self-released with Elephantcopter and one with Pernath (2000).
