Cobalt

Originally a solo project of Phil McSorley heading from the name of Grimness Enshroud (McSorley did to push out a demo below this moniker, nonetheless it was to become the only real release therefore) Colorado black metal group Cobalt was formed (and named) when drummer Erik Wunder came up to speed. Their 1st EP, Hammerfight, had become in 2003, and was accompanied by the full-length Battle Metallic in 2005. Their second recording, Eater of Parrots, presented an appearance by avant-rock story Jarboe, and premiered on Profound Lore in 2007. Eater of Parrots was a crucial hit, being called an recording of the entire year by Terrorizer publication.
