Versus the World

A melodic, post-hardcore/pop-punk device from Santa Barbara, California, Versus the Globe was formed in 2005 by vocalist/songwriter Donald Spence and longtime Ataris bass participant Mike Davenport. Before the band’s development, Spence and Davenport would regularly perform acoustically beneath the Pencapchew moniker. They released their first studio room recording as Versus the Globe in 2005, accompanied by a string of displays with rings like No Make use of to get a Name, Suicide Devices, Jumping Souls, and Sociable Distortion, aswell as appearances in the Vans Warped Tour. The group spent the ensuing years focusing on additional projects, returning this year 2010 with a fresh lineup that included Spence, Davenport, drummer Bryan Charlson (Crooks and Liars), and Lagwagon’s Chris Flippin on acoustic guitar. They released their long-awaited sophomore long-player Homesick/Roadsick via Kung Fu Information in 2015.
