Shaped in the town of Solingen in 1977 by Peter “Harry Handbag” Braatz, Uwe Jahnke, and Thomas Schwebel, the band’s name wasn’t originally an acronym. It had been soon transformed and supposedly stood for “Smashed Yankee Pummels Homo,” although different explanations will be given over time. In 1979 their debut one, “Viel Feind, Viel Her,” made an appearance and was implemented a year afterwards with the full-length S.Con.P.H. (Hello towards the Mipau). They split once again immediately after its discharge, and then re-form in 1985 for the amazingly accessible, synthesizer-based record Wieleicht. Just 2 yrs later the music group did an entire turnaround using the guitar-driven Am Rhein, a brittle work that closed having a almost 16-minute avant-reggae track. After a silent period they reappeared in 1993 with Rot, Geld, Blau, after that instantly announced another separation. That one would last until 2004, when Braatz and Jahnke came back with an appearance around the Fall tribute record Perverted by Tag E. The full-length -1 implemented in 2006 along with an appearance in the tribute record Silver Monk Period: A Tribute towards the Monks.
