Until the Ribbon Breaks

Before Ribbon Breaks certainly are a British trio who blend electronic components with pop, rock and roll, and hip-hop. The group started as the single task of multi-media musician and Cardiff indigenous Pete Lawrie Winfield. The band’s name identifies the custom of earning mixtapes that will hopefully be performed again and again by the receiver “before ribbon breaks.” Winfield’s initial one, “Pressure,” premiered in early 2013 and was along with a homemade video which integrated moments from David Lynch’s 1997 film Lost Highway. Another monitor, “2525,” premiered a couple of months later and Winfield recruited music artists Wayne Gordon and Elliot Wall structure to total the music group. Their function remixing artists just like the Weeknd, Sam Smith, and Lorde obtained them some renown, with Lorde ultimately inviting these to open up her 2013 UNITED STATES tour. Furthermore to overall sessions on the debut album, in addition they do a 2014 remix of London Grammar’s “Places.” They released their initial LP, A Lesson Unlearnt, in January 2015.
