Tyran Carlo — the composing name of Roquel “Billy” Davis — was half a Detroit songwriting group with Berry Gordy, before Gordy founded Motown Information. When Carlo’s cousin, the amazing vocalist Jackie Wilson, remaining the Dominoes and proceeded to go single, Carlo & Gordy penned Wilson’s 1st several strikes, including “Reet Petite,” “TO BECOME Loved,” “Lonesome Teardrops,” and “I’M GOING TO BE Satisfied,” all singles in the past due ’50s.
