Panjabi folk/hip-hop maker Tru-Skool was a prominent physique behind the moments of U.K. bhangra. Given birth to in Derby, U.K. Sukhjit Singh Olk (aka Tru-Skool) was raised hearing Punjabi folk. He began hearing hip-hop when he began school, which result in a pastime in music creation; specifically, the mix of hip-hop-inspired beats alongside the original bhangra music he grew up with.
