Toups Bebey

Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Toups Bebey originates from among Cameroon’s great music families, which also contains Francis Bebey among it is associates. Bebey’s music marries the customs of African music with newer designs, including jazz and funk. Shows on the 1996 Montreux Jazz Celebration as well as the 1997 Montreal Jazz Celebration with his music group the Paris Africans, and collaborations with performers like Salif Keita, France Gall, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Julien Clerc, demonstrated his versatility being a musician, aswell as his capability to provide different musical designs jointly. 1999’s Mummy I Choose Town, documented with le Heart Pan-African Brass Firm, was his first record obtainable domestically in the U.S. Cosmic Shades followed a calendar year later.
