Tom Freund

Vocalist/songwriter Tom Freund, whose audio has garnered evaluations to Tom Waits and Rickie Lee Jones, released his debut recording, UNITED STATES Long Weekend, in 1998. Your time and effort presented such completed guests as pedal metal participant Greg Leisz and jazz organist Jimmy Smith. Freund, originally from NY, attended Claremont University in California in the first ’90s and performed like a duo with long term celebrity Ben Harper. Both documented a hard-to-find vinyl-only recording in 1992 known as Pleasure and Discomfort. Soon thereafter, Freund became the bass participant for roots rock and roll mainstays the Silos. After departing that group, he resolved in Austin, TX, for a while and composed an excellent part of the tracks for his debut recording. Upon the discharge of UNITED STATES Very long Weekend, he participated inside a songwriters-in-the-round tour that included Graham Parker and Radney Foster. Freund released his sophomore work, Sympatico, by himself Surf Street label in 2001.
