Tirzah

London’s wonky pop singer Tirzah first found listeners’ attention with her bold single “I’m Not Dance,” a cooperation with Micachu & the Designs’ Mica Levi that blended garage area beats and an odd recorder test into something ear-catching. Tirzah and Levi became close friends during their period in the Purcell College, where Tirzah was learning harp and Mica was learning violin, viola, and structure. The pair started focusing on their personal music in those days, but Tirzah made a decision to pursue a profession popular and Levi continued to create the Designs. They restarted their cooperation in the 2010s with 2012’s I’m Not really Dancing EP, a unique mixture of Levi’s noise-meets-classical-meets-electronic creation and Tirzah’s down-to-earth vocals. The EP premiered by Greco Roman, also house to Disclosure and Totally Tremendous Extinct Dinosaurs. The set returned in Apr 2014 using the No Love EP, a somewhat more streamlined edition of their particular electro-pop.
