Shaped in São Paulo in the mid-90’s by Henrique Lima (vocals/guitar), Beto DeMoreaux (bass/vocals), Paulinho Jiraya (drums/cavaquinho/surdo/pandeiro/triangle/keyboards/vocals), the Virgulóides, focused on a synthesis of rock and roll and samba using a satirical watch, released in 1997 their initial CD, Virgulóides, made by Carlos Eduardo Miranda (the launcher from the Raimundos). Using the strike “Bagulho no Bumba” (Henrique Lima/Beto Demoreaux), the record marketed 40,000 copies. Within the next season, Só Pra Quem Tem Dinheiro?got the involvement of Bezerra da Silva and Raimundos, while As Aventuras dos Virgulóides (2000) got success with “Chevette Vermelho”. The group was invited to execute in the Rock and roll In Rio celebration (2001).
